Just purchased and am SO disappointed. The Kindle version is a measly 19 pages of photo and text. Sad to say, this is not my first experience with this happening -- the Kindle version being different from the print text WITHOUT any disclaimers or notice of such … Amazon REALLY needs to improve their translation of "picture" books into kindle books.... As a school counselor, I often want to project the books onto the white board in class lessons so all little eyes can see, as well as help keep elementary students engaged.... It's such a disappointment when it doesn't translate well or fully....and you cannot tell when amazon includes the copyright pages in their "preview." (Intentionally deceitful?) I yet again went ahead and purchased, in hopes of honesty...and feel taken. Would expect better from amazon. Waste of time and money.
A very cute little book. I can't stay sad or blue after reading this book. The photos are 'spot on perfect' and there are so many photos. The captions for the photos are perfect. When I'm having a difficult day, reading this book with some quiet music and prayer time....and my life has a turn-around and I'm able to face any and all challenges.
Simple read yet perfect too have displayed on bookshelf for those not-so-great days. I teach high school students so when I see a kid having a hard day, I set this down near him/her. It is a quick read with excellent photos and guaranteed to make you smile!
I always have a few of these books on hand and find them the perfect thing to let someone know you are thinking of them when they are down. I find it a nice change from traditional cards. Feedback from those that have received these have appreciated the pictures and comments. Brought a smile in tough times. Several of them have taken the same approach by paying it forward with the same gesture.
I no like this one. If your down and out and need to get some tears out maybe this would be a good one. Otherwise it is depressing.
Greive has produced a cute little book that encourages the reader to make it through those inevitable and sometimes too-common blue days.The book is about 90 pages long with a picture of an animal (often a funny-looking picture) with a caption mentioning either one of life's struggles or maintaining an optimistic point of view.The book is good for a quick pick-me-up and some good laughs, even if some of the phrases are trite. While sometimes all we need is a quick change in our attitude to make things better, I would look to other titles for deeper issues.Read and enjoy!
The Blue Day Book for Kids: A Lesson in Cheering Yourself Up, purchased through Amazon has gone to several different grandchildren. It is a sensitive and common sense look at the problems that little ones have and how they can end up on the positive end of attitude. Great for little ones starting school who meet trials, bullies and not always an A. It help them not to take life too seriously, yet know that they are an important piece in life.
Bought this for a friend who found out she has cancer. This book always brings a smile to my face. My friend loved it.
