As a Cubs family, we were so excited to learn about this book! The illustrations are beautiful. It's a really neat history of the Cubs from Murphy all the way through winning the World Series in 2016. We love reading it with our kids so they understand how monumental 2016 was. The writing is more of a poetry feel with the 2nd and 4th lines rhyming. It has a nice flow to it though and is easy to read aloud. The rhymes don't feel forced and work well with the story. At the end of the book there is a page with fun Cubs information that just makes the book even more special. I recommend this to any kids who are Cubs fans. It would make a great gift!
This book would make a great addition to any Cubs fan's library, no matter your age! Read it before giving it as a gift and think I need my own copy.
This is by far the best Chicago Cubs kids book I have found. Great presentation of story and history of Cubs baseball...and it rhymes! Very cute story...and the ending is FANTASTIC!A must have for young and old Cubs fans!

I bought this for a new "Cubbie" about to be born! The mother-to-be absolutely loved it! (I'll admit I read it before I gave it away, and I enjoyed it, too! It explains in a fun way how the goat curse came to be...and how it left! Very cute book!
