Always You: Bachelor Brotherhood, Book 3 is by Denise Grover Swank. Denise has taken three of the minor characters from her Wedding Pact series and written their stories. This has turned out to be a great series. The series is well written and the characters are definitely realistic. Three of the men had created a group called Bachelor Brotherhood when they had all decided to give up women. It didn’t last long at all as Kevin succumbed almost immediately to Holly and Tyler followed shortly with Lanie. Now Matt was the lone holdout.Matt Osborne was determined to keep the faith with the Bachelor Brotherhood. He kept himself busy with his construction company and he had agreed to coach his five-year-old nephew’s soccer team. He was having second thoughts as he faced the parents, especially the single moms, and his team. His nephew was concerned that his friend Toby wasn’t there. Matt assured him that they would catch Toby up when he did arrive. His first task was to teach the kids how to handle the ball. He showed them how to bounce it and kick it towards the goal. Before he could get them to practicing, one of the boys kicked it into the crowd and it hit one of the mother’s in the nose. Then when Toby did show up and Matt turned to greet him, Remy kicked a ball into Matt’s back followed by another one to the back of his head. As Matt lay on the ground getting his bearings, Toby’s mother approached him to see if he was alright. Matt was sure he had really been hurt as he thought he saw the woman who had broken his heart years ago.Was this a second chance for them or a second chance for him to get his heart broken? Matt wasn’t sure he was ready to try again and neither was Anna. Where did that leave them?
Book 3 of the Bachelor Brotherhood by Denise Grover Swank has to be my favorite. From page one Matt Osborn grabs the reader with the love he has for his family and especially his five year old nephew.Matt love Anna, his girlfriend from college and proposed to Anna just as college was ending, his dreams for happier ever after were gone in a second. Anna had taken a job in London for a large financial institute and had her dream job and soon thereafter what she thought would be a dream life all blew up in her face and she is a now back in her home town with a son and taking care of her father who suffered an accident.Meanwhile Matt has started a good construction company and he teaches soccer to his nephew when anew kid arrives in town. The new kid is the son of Anna’s. Matt’s nephew is going thru a hard time with missing his mother but each day loving his Uncle Matt more and more.The antics and storyline will have you down right laughing of some of the complications which occur during the storyline. Then you’re thinking to yourself what would I be doing and last of all crying.I realize that the pact of the brotherhood is actually over, all three friends are now married, it would make a great follow up story fast forwarding a few years to see what they are all doing now.
Always You is easily my favorite of Denise Grover Swank's Bachelor Brotherhood series! I absolutely loved Matt, Anna, and all the soccer kids! It's a first love - second chance story that I absolutely adored! The pacing is quick and the story offers is a perfect blend of heart warming romance, a hefty dose of humor, all the while being painfully real. I don’t know if I was particularly hormonal while reading this, but I got teary eyed for both Matt and Anna. Out of all the pairings between The Wedding Pact and Bachelor Brotherhood series, I liked theirs the most because they were able to reconcile their past.Matt could not be more perfect. I want a Matt. Where do I get one? I'm 35... so tick tock!This romance gets a rare *****5 STAR***** from me, and I’m picky when it comes to contemporary romance. I loved it!!!
I'm always a sucker for a second chance romance story and this is one of my favorites. Matt's world has already had a drastic change with him taking in his nephew recently. But then Anna, his college sweetheart, "the love of his life", "the one who got away", shows up unexpectedly and his whole world is thrown for a loop. You can tell from the moment they see each other again, that they both still have strong feelings lingering.This story is touching, heartwarming, a little sexy, while being humorous also. Add kids to the story and you have so many laugh out loud moments that are just so real to life. I went through all the emotions when reading this story, tearing up in a few touching scenes. Denise always pulls you into the story and makes you feel as you are right there with the characters. Fantastic ending to the series!
I wanted to like this more than I did, considering how much I enjoyed the first book in the series this one spun off from. Sadly though, I just didn't click with this one like I'd hoped. The second chance romance aspect was enjoyable and I found myself falling into the story but somewhere around the halfway mark there was just unnecessary drama with the heroine's ex husband that felt contrived, despite knowing the circumstances surrounding her living situation. And the OOT conclusion where the Hero confronts the ex was just too much. I guess I expected things to work out a different way. With all the focus on the impending leave date the heroine faced it just took the focus off the happy feeling you get when your couple is getting together.
Book three did not disappoint! I absolutely love Matt Osborn! I enjoyed hearing Matt’s story and the lovably hilarious relationship he has with his adorable nephew Ethan. His one and only true, Anna, is back in town and old feelings resurface. Turns out neither one ever really gave up on the other and strive to figure out how to make it all work. It was fun hearing from his best buddies Kevin and Tyler and their wives as well as a little hearsay on what good old grams is doing down out the community center. This book literally had me laughing out loud and I just could not put it down. Don’t miss out on some really great laugh out loud comedy and a little romance to boot!
