Just breathe...Just breathe...Just breathe...Hearts Desire was everything and then some. Ellie Masters has once again left me absolutely breathless!!! From page one I was consumed with the story. I loved how we got to see the men from Angel Fire again while becoming in love with Tia and her military team. There were definitely times throughout the book that had me on the edge of my seat.And please don’t get me started on Lyons (a.k.a. Ryker)...if I was there in the book I would be on my knees for him. The man is 100% swoon worthy and I am claiming him as mine if Ellie will allow it. Ryker is a down to earth, alpha male who just captured her heart from the beginning all the way to the end.Hearts Desire is intense with a side of sweet and sexy. How do you get to read a sizzling hot rock and roll romance combined with all the angst found in a great military romance? You read Heart’s Desire by Ellie Masters. I always say this author is a word magician because there is nothing she cannot write, but even I was in awe about how she took these two completely different genres and meshed them to perfection. We get to revisit the love between Ash and Skye in this book. We get a big hug from that mountain of a man Forrest. We get to rub up against all the sexy tattooed men of Angel Fire, and as if that wouldn’t be amazing enough, we meet Tia and Ryker! Tia is this strong female military officer who is making it big time in a man’s world. She is tough, focused and takes no prisoners. Ryker is this sexy as heck military “playboy†who just can’t seem to keep his hands off Tia. The visual details of this write make me feel like I am in the Afghanistan desert with these guys. It is hot, dusty, dry and dirty, but these two steam it up with a love affair that makes the desert wet and welcoming. But I digress, so how in the world does a rock and roll band fit into his story? READ the book and find out! It’s delicious and I can’t wait for this series to continue. I highly recommend this book.
There is so much in this book! Military, rock star, friends to lovers, taboo military relationship. Just so much. And Ellie Masters is retired Air Force, so she has all the knowledge. I’d love it if she wrote another military romance.Tia outranks Ryker in their elite Air Force surgical unit comprised of her and 4 men. There is underlying sexual tension between them, but any romantic relationship is strictly forbidden between an officer and an enlisted person. They fight it, but it’s inevitable as the case may be.The rock band Angel Fire is on a USO tour and Tia has connections with Skye, the wife of the lead singer, Ash and Forrest, the band manager. Ryker impresses the band with his ability to play bass guitar. Ryker has the opportunity to play with Angel Fire as his and Tia’s relationship deepens. Life spirals crazy in a war zone and both unforeseen & predictable complications come to the forefront. They have to make serious life decisions which are tough and change everything about their future.
Heart’s Desire!!The perfect blend of Military romance and Rock N Roll romance. I don’t know how Ellie Masters does it but she blends the two together and gives the the feeling of being deeply immersed in both worlds. In this book we’re introduced to Tia and Ryker who are both on deployment in Afghanistan. There chemistry is off the charts hot!! And you can’t help but to root for them and fall in love with them. We also get to see our favorite characters from Heart’s Insanity and rock out with the guys from Angles Fire-Blaze, Bash, Bent, Noodle and Spike as well as Skye and Forest.This is the third book in the Angle’s Fire series, although it can be read as a stand alone it’s better if you read Heart’s Insanity first. And I promise you will love it. You will get all the feels reading this book. It’s got danger, excitement and smoking hot sex not to mention a great story. So go one-click it, enjoy the ride,and happy reading!!

In this book we get to revisit all our favorite characters from Heart’s Insanity and get introduced to Tia and Ryker who just sizzle together on the pages...and between the sheets.Ms. Masters has taken the rock and roll and military genres and meshed them together seamlessly. Her brilliance with words makes you feel like you are there front row and center watching an Angel Fire rock concert. Her gift for describing the music is so magical you can almost feel the bass in your soul. And during the tense moments of the military operations you can feel the stress and angst of the characters flowing thru your body.If you want to have your world rock then I highly recommend this book. It’s not a stand alone, so read Heart’s Insanity first. Trust me, you’ll love that one too.Once again Ms. Masters, you rock!
It takes a gigantic leap of faith to say this is Book 2 in the Angel Fire series. This book has very little to do with Angel Fire, who only make an appearance in a supporting role halfway through the book. This book serves no purpose other than to set up the premise for Book 3. I quit reading at about 75%. Save your money and just skip on to Book 3. You won't have missed a thing.
I loved it from beginning to end it was exciting because it combined action in the military with rock bands. It all worked perfectly with the romance that was forbidden but eventually worked in their favor. This is a true romantic story that dealt with heavy emotional issues that the Tia and Ryker worked through and came out on top.
Love this author and love this series. Looking forward to the next book!
