I have changed my opinion and now recommend this over InfoPath Step By Step by Shadravan and Rogers.Using Microsoft InfoPath 2010 with Microsoft SharePoint 2010 Step by Step (Step by Step (Microsoft)) if you are trying to buy only one InfoPath book. Farther into this project, I see that the no-code development techniques in S&R gets me only 80% of the way to the goal-- replacing a legacy app that evolved over several years. To reproduce all the features of the legacy app in an InfoPath form requires code-behind in either C# or VB.Net using the InfoPath object model and the .Net XPathNavigator class. I'm docking it a star because InfoPath no-code basics are covered better in S&R. If money is no object, it's still better to do the first several chapters of S&R to quickly see how to develop a no-code InfoPath form and deploy it in SharePoint Forms Services, but then the chapters in this book to learn how to use C# or VB code-behind to add additional features.

First of all, this is not a step-by-step book. Most books that are have "step-by-step" in the title. The book tends to describe the functionality and capability of InfoPath in a broad conceptiual sense with some samples to help you follow along. This allows a more free-form experience where you can read what you're intersted in but there isn't an overly sequential, structured learning path.I like it so far, exactly what I was looking for.

Not too technical for the average user. Well written and definitely worth the money! Originally rented it from the library, but then liked it enough to purchase and keep.

While the book is pretty detailed in its coverage of InfoPath 2010, it can be be very difficult to follow the examples, which tend to be embedded in the text of the book (i.e.: not broken out into clear and easy to follow steps). The examples often tend to gloss over critical steps, and waste time on much more obvious details. If only the examples were better constructed and presented, the book would be worthy of a more positive review.

I have a complete library of these annual awards - all 28. My review is the current judging is not producing the "dynamic winners" that BBC did when they produced the book.

Beautiful book on the inside but not on the outside. I ordered two so at least one looks good.

This is the first time in years of seeing the exhibit that I’ve actually ordered the book - though not at museum prices (thanks Amazon). There are innovations in this year’s winners, including drone shots and motion-sensor triggering. The photos are simply jaw-dropping. There were easily a dozen pics I call mind blowing. The People’s Choice images were also all winners. In other words, I strongly disagree with the earlier reviewer and highly recommend you see the exhibit if you possibly can.

First things first, this may be the worst cliff hanger I've ever had the pleasure of reading. So horrible it might not be a pleasure.And it makes me incredibly glad I waited for the whole of the trilogy to be released before I started the series. The only thing I have to wait for is eight hours of sleep. And it'll be torture.It's sort of odd how much this trilogy feels like one story. Even discounting the cliffhanger, all that was accomplished in this novel was the competition and bringing all the characters together (not that she they stayed that way). And I've always looked at the second book in the series as the one that brings the characters back together, as something usually breaks 'em apart, but here it just feels so rounded and whole. I don't know how to explain what I'm thinking.These books are not at all like I expected. And it's a very good thing.There's London (I guess I expected that) and princes and pirates and thieves and cleverness and banter and stubbornly ruthless decisions and amazing world-building and a magical black market. And maybe my favorite magic item ever, Kell's coat.The writing is so good and so descriptive that I almost threw up when Lila was having a claustrophobic moment.I loved the competition, even though it wasn't really unique, and I loved Lila's magic lessons (if you know anything about me you know these are two of my favorite things) but all I wanted while reading was to have Lila and Alucard and Rhys and Kell in one room for longer than ten seconds.My main problem with the story isn't really a problem but my own impatience and that's how we were made to wait over 50% of the book before Kell and Lila crossed paths, and no matter how amazing Alucard is I bought the book to see the two of them together.Yeah, I'm totally reading this series purely for the characters.They're just so real and smart and funny and different and I want them all to be happy.I love how Lila has kept her roots and how she can't not think like she's living alone on the streets. I love how Kell hasn't lost his demeanor and how he cares for others. And I love Rhys' humor, of course, but also the way he cares about everyone else's happiness over his own life. And I love Alucard and the way he deals with Lila and, well, everything else about him too.Don't disappoint me, A Conjuring of Light, or words will be had.

The first book was good, but guys, this book was GREAT. A Darker Shade of Magic set the stage, introduced the characters, but AGOS truly stepped it up. It wasn’t exactly full of gripping action, but it was more of a slow buildup to an incredible climax. I NEED the next book. The writing and storytelling was absolutely wonderful and I can’t wait to jump back into Kell and Lila’s parallel worlds.The book opens with Lila joining a crew of her own aboard the Night Spire, let by captain Alucard Emery– an excellent addition to the series and one of my new favorite characters. Lila works with Alucard to develop her magical ability, but there is still the question of what Lila is. How powerful is she, really?Back in London, Kell and Rhy are as close as ever after Kell bound his life to Rhy. They are actually a little too close for comfort- they feel each other’s emotions, pain, and nightmares. Rhy had some of his own chapters in this book and he really grew on me. He is more complex than I gave him credit for!Much of the book focuses on the the Essen Tach, a competition between magicians. It is through this competition that Kell and Lila finally reunite and I couldn’t have been happier. Honestly, one of my only complaints is that they spend so much time apart. Obviously it worked well with the plot but they spent so much time thinking about each other that I couldn’t wait for them to cross paths. The Essen Tach was an exiting story in itself, but we get hints of something even bigger brewing in the short chapters from White London. However, the Essen Tach was an great addition to the story line- it really highlighted the different kingdoms in this world, and the different types of magicians in it. Plus, how could you not get excited about seeing some of our favorite characters battle it out in the arena?Aside from the well-thought out story line, I was pleased from the incredible character development from Kell, Lila and Rhy. Lila is as bold as ever, Kell as rash, and Rhy as flirtatious but they all have such complex personalities that I thoroughly enjoying delving into each one of them.And finally, that ending. It was so explosive and brilliant. I can’t wait to read the next book. I still have so many questions about Kell, Lila, Rhy and Alucard. About the fate of White, Gray, Red and Black London. I’m hoping these are answered in the next book

About the Author

Glenn N. Saxe, MD, is the Arnold Simon Professor and Chair of the Department of Child and Adolescent Psychiatry at New York University (NYU) School of Medicine and Director of the NYU Child Study Center. Dr. Saxe is a physician-scientist with a focus on the psychiatric consequences of traumatic events in children and on factors that contribute to children’s risk and resilience in the face of adversity. He is the principal developer of trauma systems therapy (TST), which is currently used to guide clinical care in 14 states. He is also Director of the Center for Coordinated Trauma Services in Child Welfare, a National Child Traumatic Stress Network academic center funded to improve trauma services for the nation’s child welfare systems.   B. Heidi Ellis, PhD, is Assistant Professor of Psychiatry at Harvard Medical School and Boston Children's Hospital. She is also Director of the Refugee Trauma and Resilience Center at Boston Children's Hospital, a partner in the National Child Traumatic Stress Network. Dr. Ellis's primary focus is understanding how trauma and sociocultural contexts affect the mental health and development of youth, and translating this understanding into mental health and/or violence prevention intervention programs. She is the codeveloper of TST and oversees the adaptation and implementation of the model with refugee youth.   Adam D. Brown, PsyD, is Clinical Assistant Professor in the Department of Child and Adolescent Psychiatry at NYU School of Medicine. He is also the clinical coordinator of the trauma service at the NYU Child Study Center. At NYU, he directs training, consultation, and technical assistance in TST. Dr. Brown has overseen programs for youth in inpatient, day treatment, and residential settings, and has extensive training and expertise in the area of assessing and treating interpersonal trauma in children and adolescents. He has a focused interest in the complex interplay between traumatized youth and families, the people who provide care to these youth and families, and the systems that contain this care.

This book was required for my clinical class. I liked the writing style as it was very easy to read and understand. This is a comprehensive guide to trauma work- however it was written by psychologists for a certain setting. However, it was helpful to my work in social work.

The book was good and I thought it did a good job explain trauma in very easy to understand terms. Some of the clinical tools in here are helpful too and are useful for organizing thoughts and information you get from the client.

This is such a great read for anyone who's working with children who are survivors of trauma. Great introductory book that is explanative and expansive.

More for an agency use than individual provider.

Book was as described and perfect for my daughters studies.

This book is definitely helpful if you work with trauma clients and need a little guide in understanding the client and choosing appropriate treatment.

This book is hilarious. It's prefect if you want to forget about the world and have a good laugh. You can open the book on a random page and have a quick laugh anythime. The Irish have a different humorous way of thinking, that throws a conventional serious state of mind out the window. Great stuff.
